Scholastic Art Award Winners

Nine ACHS art students won regional Scholastic Art Awards and six students, those receiving Gold Keys, will have their pieces judged at the national level. Over 2,300 pieces were entered into the regional contest.

Angelica Ramirez, junior, received a Gold Key and an Honorable Mention in the drawing and illustration category.

Alexis Van Dyke, junior, received a Gold Key and three Honorable Mention awards in the drawing and illustration category, and one Honorable Mention in the painting category.

Julyana Torres, junior, received a Silver Key in the drawing and illustration category.

Ashtyn Robb, senior, received a Gold Key and Silver Key for her ceramics and glass pieces, and an Honorable Mention in the drawing and illustration category.

Francisca Posadas, junior, received two Gold Keys and a Silver Key in the drawing and illustration category.

Maggie Krout, junior, received a Gold Key in the drawing and illustration category.

Sarah Kuffler, senior, received two Gold Keys and an Honorable Mention in the drawing and illustration category.

Haley Lough, junior, received a Silver Key and an Honorable Mention in the drawing and illustration category.

Peyton Vaden, senior, received three Silver Keys and an Honorable Mention in the ceramics and glass category.

The Scholastic Art Awards is one of the largest and longest-running recognition program for young artists in the United States. Alumni include Andy Worhol, Robert Indiana, and Zac Posen.
