Welcome to Arkansas City Public Schools!
Onsite registration is available in each school starting on July 27.
If you are unsure where your elementary student should attend school, please take a moment to review our elementary boundary map.
All new students should bring current immunization records, birth certificates, and proof of residential address. Each school has forms available to request records from your child’s previous school.
If you are interested in the Pre-K program, please call 620-441-2075 or go to Lincoln Early Childhood Center to schedule a screening.
Bus transportation is provided for children who live 2.5+ miles from their neighborhood school. Please complete the Transportation Request Form and return to the district office.

If you have additional questions regarding bus services, please contact the transportation department at 620-441-2084.
First, your child will need to be screened. Pre-K screenings will take place during the first week of August at the Lincoln Early Childhood Center. To schedule a screening, complete the online Pre-K Interest Form or call 620-441-2075 ASAP! All screenings and enrollments will take place at Lincoln Early Childhood Center.
Pre-K classes will be blended within neighborhood schools. Every effort will be made for your child to attend his/her neighborhood school but placement is ultimately based on numbers. Parents will be notified, on or before August 8, if their child is accepted into the program or placed on a waiting list.
Children who are three and have an IEP will be served at Adams Elementary. Children may be bussed to that location. The 3-year old program will accept two peer models per section. An application will need to be completed at the end of the screening process for your child to be considered.
You will need to comple an out-of-district transfer request form (available here) and either e-mail it to email@example.com or mail it to the district office. Notifications will be made no later than August 9, 2016.

In an effort to ease the burden on families, USD 470 is providing some items, that may have been on the school supply lists in previous years, for each school so that students no longer need to provide them. Of course, you’re still welcome to provide those items if you want to help supplement.
Also, thanks to the generosity of a community donor, all 2016-2017 first graders will be provided backpacks with some school supplies at their school’s backpack night. More information about this and other free supply offerings can be found on our Community Resources page.
The school district and board of education has waived all textbook fees for the 2016-2017 school year.
Elementary students have no fees aside from lunch and breakfast when applicable.
Middle school and high school students may have incidental fees for certain classes. Please check with your child’s school to see if those fees will apply to you.
