ACHS artists earn Kansas Scholastic Awards

Two Arkansas City High School students recently received Kansas Scholastic Art Awards for their pencil drawings.


Senior Hadley Colquhoun received four gold keys and two silver keys. Her four gold key pieces qualified for the national competition. The artwork will be displayed at Mark Arts in Wichita from February 12 through March 27. For more information, visit Following high school, Hadley plans to attend Oklahoma State University where she major in graphic design.


ACHS junior Katie Hernandez received an honorable mention for her piece titled "Chained Up".
