Screentime Guidelines
USD 470’s Screen Time Guidelines provide clear expectations for how technology is used in our classrooms. The focus is on purposeful, teacher-directed use that supports learning and is appropriate for each grade level.
The guidelines also outline recommended screen exposure, appropriate uses of technology, device expectations, digital resources, and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Our goal is simple: use technology when it helps students learn, while maintaining a healthy balance with discussion, reading, writing, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
