To help keep students and staff safe, ACHS is now using the Securly Visitor Management System at the front office. Visitors going beyond the office must check in with a government-issued photo ID. The system will scan the ID and print a badge. Visitors staying in the office area do not need a badge.

A few ACHS seniors recently attended JAG-K Senior Day at the Kansas State Capitol, where they met with Rep. Bill Rhiley to discuss their career goals. The trip gave students a firsthand look at state government and supported JAG-K’s mission of career readiness and leadership.

The Arkansas City High School Symphonic Choir recently returned from a spring break trip through Memphis, Nashville, and St. Louis. Highlights included visiting historical sites, performing at the Nashville Heritage Festival where they earned a Gold rating, and senior Kayson Hamrick receiving the Ovation Award. The trip offered meaningful cultural, educational, and musical experiences.

ACHS Agriculture Teachers Kasie Bogart and Josie Messenger have been nominated for the 2025 Nationwide Insurance Golden Owl Award. This honor recognizes outstanding agricultural educators who make a lasting impact on their students and communities.

Genevieve Herrera and Kennedy Barnes served as pages for Senator Larry Alley, gaining hands-on experience in government. They met the Lieutenant Governor, attended committee meetings, and assisted on the Senate floor.

Congrats to the 62 ACHS students in Mrs. West’s Financial Literacy classes for earning their EVERFI Financial Literacy Certification! After completing 11 lessons and passing all assessments, these Bulldogs now have essential real-world financial skills to manage money, set goals, and plan for the future. Way to go, Bulldogs – we’re proud of you!
