Arkansas City Middle School held its City Spelling Bee, and students did an outstanding job. The top four finishers will represent ACMS at the Cowley County Spelling Bee in February. We are proud of all who participated.

Arkansas City Middle School 8th graders are running small businesses, gaining real-world skills in customer service, design, and teamwork. From brewing 665 drinks to creating logos and websites, students are excelling in project-based learning

Our middle school students showcased their spelling skills at this year’s City Spelling Bee, wowing the audience with their hard work and determination. Congratulations to finalists Emma Mangold (1st, ACCA), Brooklyn Vickers (2nd), Jacquelyn Contreras (3rd), and Tyler Feste (4th, ACCA), who advance to the County Spelling Bee in January.

ACMS Student Council attended a regional conference in Douglass, learning leadership skills from keynote speaker A’ric Jackson. They also delivered care packages with chocolate and thank-you cards to the City of Arkansas City, the police department, and the fire department to show appreciation for their service.

ACMS Stock Your Locker Night is on August 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Arkansas City Middle School is embracing a heartwarming addition to its counseling team – this one with four legs and a wagging tail. Cupid, a specially trained facility dog, is already enhancing the school’s atmosphere with warmth, positivity, and comfort for those around her.

The City of Arkansas City Outstanding Student Award Reception was held on April 8, 2024. Cowley College, Arkansas City High School, and Arkansas City Middle School students were recognized.

On Tuesday, 34 fierce Arkansas City Middle School girls and their dedicated coaches made history by hosting the school’s first home girls wrestling event. The mats and a packed gym witnessed history unfold as ACMS triumphed with victories over Winfield (66-15), McPherson (84-6), and El Dorado (66-24).
