Superintendent

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Arkansas City Public Schools.

It is an honor to serve as superintendent of USD 470. Our district has been my professional home for more than 20 years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the students, families, staff, and community that make Arkansas City such a special place.

Throughout my career, I have served as assistant principal at Arkansas City High School, principal at Arkansas City Middle School, assistant superintendent, interim superintendent, and now superintendent. Those experiences have strengthened my belief that our greatest strength is our people.

Every day, I see teachers, support staff, administrators, bus drivers, food service employees, custodians, parents, volunteers, business leaders, and community partners working together to help our students succeed. Their dedication creates schools where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

As superintendent, I am committed to listening, communicating openly, and building trust. Our community deserves clear, transparent information about district decisions, finances, priorities, and progress. Just as importantly, we should celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our students and staff, who make our schools a source of pride for our community.

We have exciting opportunities ahead as we continue improving our schools through voter-approved bond projects, develop a long-term strategic plan with our community, and remain focused on providing outstanding learning opportunities for every student.
